Peter is a distinguished Security Expert and Humanitarian Diplomat with more than 20 years of experience in protective security, international relations, and conflict resolution. Renowned for his expertise in executive protection, crisis management, and strategic diplomacy, Peter is also celebrated for building high-performing teams and delivering strategic security solutions. He has led numerous initiatives both in Kenya and internationally.

He is the Founder and Board Chairman of Canik Spy Ltd, a leading provider of specialist security solutions in Kenya, with core expertise in Executive Protection, Close Protection, VIP Protection, internationally accredited Close Protection Training, and Secure Transportation. He is the visionary behind internationally accredited Close Protection Training Programs in Kenya. Under his strategic leadership, he has played a pivotal role in advancing access to world-class Close Protection training across the continent. His efforts have been instrumental in establishing a comprehensive training pathway, from introductory courses to Level 5 International Close Protection Operative, setting new standards of excellence in Kenya’s security sector.

Peter was officially recognized by the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, for his contributions to the private security sector, reflecting his global impact and influence on 5th December 2024. He was also recognized and awarded by Melhem Scientific (Massachusetts, Boston, USA) during the symposium “Young and at Risk: Unmasking Early Colon Cancer” held at LAU Medical Center – Rizk Hospital on July 25th, 2025. His core expertise includes Close Protection, Executive & Armed Security, Anti-Terrorism, Risk Management, Information Security, and Strategic Deployment in High-Risk Environments.

He is currently serving as a Director/Board Advisor of the Anti-Terrorism Division of the International Anti-Terrorism Professionals Association (IATPA) and the Anti-Trafficking Bureau (ATB) for the East Africa Region. He also serves as the East Africa Director for the International Diplomatic Alliance. Peter is the Founder & Chairman of Nyanza Complex Rifle Club, a member of the International Police Association (Kenya chapter), and Secretary General of Competitive Marksman Action (CMA).

Beyond his success in introducing significant international Close Protection trainings with global accreditations, he has worked for more than 15 years to transform the traditional expectations of business security functions and how organizational management perceives them. He strongly believes that by working closely with security professionals and government security agencies, the future role of Close Protection services can be more tightly integrated into national and corporate frameworks.
